We spend so much time just checking off out to-do lists these days we rarely take the opportunity to pause and reflect. Christmas is one of those rare seasons when that is possible — if not forced upon us by the closing of most of the businesses that often steal our family time. A sincere thank you to all of you who visit this site.
While those of us who frequent my website to read, comment, cuss and cajole are not family in the Webster sense, we do share some of the same traits as relatives. We argue, we laugh, we even at times find common ground.
I would like to wish you and yours a great holiday season and the best New Year ever in 2014. This past year saw the Royals showing signs that the next five years will be seasons to celebrate rather than dread. The Chiefs might deliver a January ride we haven’t seen around here in 20 years. Sporting Kansas City got the holiday season started with a championship won right here in KC. I am hoping Santa brings us more titles in 2014. Enjoy your family, friends and this season of hope.
